FAQ's

Ring sizing is not an exact science but we as jewellers do our best to get the right fit for you. While everybody’s hands are different, we can use these measurements to help us get the most comfortable fit for your fingers, though it varies for everyone (just like a pair of jeans!)

Please keep in mind that it is perfectly normal to have a ring that will fit perfectly in one season of the year while being small or big in another, as our hands swell and retract with summer heat and winter cold. Likewise, the ring size of your dominant hand will tend to be slightly larger than that of your non-dominant. Variations are perfectly normal.

If you do not know your ring size, you can go in to a local jewellers to get sized in person which is always the best way to get the most reliable size. Alternately, if you already have a ring that fits the finger of choice, you can measure the inner diameter (as seen below) and send through the millimetre measurement to us.

Please take care to avoid contact with abrasive surfaces, cosmetics, harsh chemicals or activities where items may likely be knocked or dropped. Most of our pieces can safely be cleaned with a jewellery polishing cloth and/or warm soapy water with a soft-bristled toothbrush for difficult-to-reach areas.

Note that brushed matte finishes naturally fade over time. This is perfectly normal and expected, especially for pieces which receive more wear and tear such as rings and necklaces, particularly when worn next to other jewellery.

Pieces with stones such as malachite or turquoise require a little extra care as these soft stones can scratch, corrode or become damaged more easily. In order to maintain the integrity of these pieces be sure wear and store them with care. Avoid harsh chemicals and detergents as these easily corrode polished surfaces of these softer stones and avoid wearing them during any activities which may cause them to get knocked or come into contact with abrasive surfaces.

Beaded and tasselled pieces must not get wet. Remove before showering, bathing, swimming or any other occasion which may cause them to come into contact with moisture of any kind. These items are intended for special occasion wear and are not suitable for constant, unremoved wear.

It is perfectly normal for silver to change colour and oxidise over time. This is what allows us to create the black detailing and highlighting we see on many silver pieces and one of the wonderful features of creating objects in silver. While this can be applied in a controlled way when creating a piece, it can also occur naturally due to a number of reasons such as environmental, storage conditions or even our skin PH. This can simply be cleaned with a silver polish dip (if it piece does not contain any stones, beads, tassels etc) or jewellery polishing cloth.

This however, also means that purposefully applied oxidation can fade over time with wear. Again, this is a beautiful way to allow your piece to become your own as you wear it.
