Details & Fit

London Blue Topaz

Fish is 2cm in length.

Total necklace length is 38cm.

The Fish is a symbol featured heavily on Siwan embroidery and silver jewellery.

A symbol of good luck and fertility in a society that places great importance on the wedding celebration, it's dress and celebrations, it is then no surprise that we find a fish motif all throughout artwork of the Siwa Oasis. As well as embroidery, we see the fish heavily featured in silverwork of the region.

While this little fish was originally inspired by Siwian embroidery, it also represents the abundant and life-giving Mediterranean Sea in which Egypt's north coast borders, along with so many other rich cultures which have brought us so much of the world we know today.

Features London Blue Topaz eye and 38cm solid gold chain
